Hi, my dear reader! We came to the end of this semester. It was a term full of information, fun and intimacy. For our Current Issues lesson, we had many different technology-integrated tasks as you can see the photos below which made us ready for the task creation process for our future classes. The course, by all means, has pros and cons. To exemplify the pros, it was fruitful that we had feedback before submitting our task. As for cons, it would be better if we were introduced basic and easy tools to use just in class too because all our tasks require students to have access to technology at home so it is not applicable broadly to all classes. Furthermore, it was easy to grasp the aims from the class activities and clear guidelines. However, it was difficult to accomplish some of the tasks as it was our first time using these kinds of apps. Besides, I liked the flipped classroom video task the most because it is very beneficial and widely used, especially in this technology-based era yet I liked the corpus-based material the least because it is also available in coursebooks and we can adapt instead of creating a similar one. Instead, we could create a game about the topic, for example, rather than writing the information down. For the students who will take this course next year, I want to tell them that you will both experience new tools and have a chance to create various materials for lessons, which is a benign practice for pre-service teachers like us. In addition, this course showed me that we have plentiful items to make our lessons more comprehensible and fun. I am sure that I will use them when I become a teacher, hopefully.
This is all from me this semester, dear readers. Thanks for experiencing it with me. See you soon.
